Our Return Policy

We make returns and exchanges as smooth as possible.

To keep Hoods prices low, a register receipt is required for all returns/exchanges.

Within 30 days: Almost everything* you buy can be exchanged or returned for a full refund. Just bring it in within 30 days of purchase to any Hoods location.

We will gladly exchange or refund any item that is

  • Returned in a factory-sealed carton in good condition
  • Accompanied by an original Hoods register receipt, or
  • Not expressly excluded in our return policy.

Between 30-90 days: Simply bring your receipt and factory-sealed purchase into any Hoods location, and our managers will review. While no refunds will be allowed on purchases beyond 30 days, a Hoods gift card may be offered at the manager’s discretion unless expressly excluded in our return policy. This card has no cash value, but it can be used at any one of our locations.

No exchanges are allowed on purchases over 90 days.

30-Day Sales Price Guarantee

At Hoods, we value your patronage. That is why we guarantee our Hoods prices for 30 days. If we advertise a lower price on any item you have purchased from Hoods in the last 30 days, simply return with your original register receipt and we will gladly refund the difference onto a Hoods gift card. This allows you to shop at Hoods with the confidence that you are always getting the lowest possible Hoods price. This will does not apply to clearance items.  

*Hoods reserves the right to deny any return or exchange and may request identification as a condition of return or exchange.

Exclusions

Flooring (such as tile, laminate and hardwood): Flooring is typically manufactured in dye lots and sold by the case, so unless purchased as a sample*, returns of in-stock flooring such as tile, laminate, and hardwood are required to be returned in full, factory-sealed cartons within 30 days of purchase. Beyond 30 days, they must also match in-stock dye lots and/or cover at least 50 square feet to be eligible for return.

*Individual tiles sold as samples may be returned within 30 days with a receipt.

Special Orders: Special orders are made and/or ordered especially for you. There are no exchanges or refunds available on special order items.

Final Sales: If the price ends in 7, please be sure it is what you want. These closeout or reduced items are not eligible for exchange or refund. For example, ceramic tile that is $0.97 is a final sale item.

Power Tools and Equipment: Power tools and equipment are not eligible for refunds; however, we will gladly exchange for exactly the same one within 30 days of purchase. Beyond 30 days, customers are responsible for complying with any applicable manufacturer’s warranty. If powered by gas, the customer is responsible for draining the gas tank prior to its return. For safety reasons, our stores are not permitted to return power tools and equipment unless the gas tank is empty.

Gift Cards: Lost or stolen gift cards are non-replaceable.
